Blushing Bride

Wow, it's amazing how far behind a cross-country trip can set you!
That being said, let's start the catching up with a look at my beautiful sister-in-law and her new husband.
This shoot was amazing- weather reports threatened lightning and thunder storms, but instead we got all of this gorgeous Mid-Western light, and not a breath of wind.
Score!

I will also add that while I love these shots amid the trees, I have to say that my very favorites are of Megan getting ready, texting, and chatting with her man on the way to surprising him with a first glimpse of her in that stunning gown.
I seriously love these guys!

Oh, and those coral heels...
I mean, come on!

On the Horizon

Lately, I'm craving some serious springtime.
Maybe it's the new running gear I recently purchased in flashy shades of electric yellow and fresh papaya,
but I can't help thinking it's high-time we move on from the season of ice and snow.

That's what I've been thinking anyway-
that is until I took the kids for a little drive and found myself pulling over
next to this gorgeous view.

Reese dug out an old, abandoned disposable camera that somehow made its way into the back seat,
and together we 'clicked' until the light faded,
sighing at the colors and showing off our shots like real professionals.

I guess I can take a little more winter-
if it promises to stay this beautiful!

Muscle Love

My yoga instructor is an incredible, inspiring fifty-something Japanese woman that is about as hard core as they come. She also happens to teach a stellar spin class, and her legs...well, someday when I grow up I would weep with joy if mine could only look half as good as hers.  Sigh.

Anyway, I've been feeling pretty good about myself the last few classes as my balance improves (stayed upright for the entire tree pose today, thank you very much!), I'm becoming more flexible, and it seems I'm one of the few that can keep up with her- ignoring, of course, the minor detail that more than half the class qualifies for Sizzler's senior discount.
Ahem, like I was saying, I've been thinking I was pretty cool... smooth...fancy pants on her way to Yoga Master status, etc.  That is, until Ryan showed me this video.  Of course, this was right after I suggested he maybe should come up with a few pretzel nicknames, you know... just to try 'em out in case we'd need to adopt one or two in the future.

Umm, yeah- Never Mind!

Despite the healthy dose of humility it delivered, I just can't get over the beauty of watching these two move.  Granted, I do feel as though I'm intruding a bit on a private moment,
but I still can't bring myself to look away.
It's just gorgeous.

And good heavens, do I have a solid appreciation for
this woman's core!
