Soon to be Momma

My sister is expecting her second baby- a sweet little boy-

 and having one myself, I can't help but be crazy excited for her.

Last night, as the sun set, we jumped at the opportunity for a spontaneous maternity shoot.

And good grief, this is one gorgeous, bump-rockin' lady!

Hot Dogs! Peanuts! Pie in the Face!

Blushing Bride

Wow, it's amazing how far behind a cross-country trip can set you!

That being said, let's start the catching up with a look at my beautiful sister-in-law and her new husband.

This shoot was amazing- weather reports threatened lightning and thunder storms, but instead we got all of this gorgeous Mid-Western light, and not a breath of wind.

Score!

I will also add that while I love these shots amid the trees, I have to say that my very favorites are of Megan getting ready, texting, and chatting with her man on the way to surprising him with a first glimpse of her in that stunning gown.

I seriously love these guys!

Pretend Baseball

On Thursday we found a baseball diamond.

We'd forgotten our gear at home, but we didn't need it;

we chased each other,

 hit imaginary home-runs,

put our hands together for team cheers,

stole second,

stole third,

ate lunch in the 'dugout',

got dirty and skinned our knees.

And we had a wonderful time.
