Fourth

I didn't take near as many photos this Fourth as I usually do, but here are a few of the highlights anyway,
The kids loved the parade we joined Mese & her family for in Provo-
they laughed and cheered for all the costumed princesses walking by as well as any float that sparkled,
but you should have seen the silence & confused faces that accompanied the giant Fred Flintstone balloon
"Wait, who...?"
Hello generation gap.
The day was spent eating spicy roasted chicken, salads,
and Sweet Corn & Bangkok Peanut ice creams from my mother's day gift.
There are simply no words-
nothin' but yummy sounds, and the rolling back of eyes.

The last pic was on our way to watch fireworks with my brother Shay & his family;
it's always fun to know we aren't the only church that uses food as bribery for attendance!

Grammy Biscuits

While visiting our family in Missouri a few months ago, Reese happily donned an apron to become
her grammy's right hand in the kitchen.

Absolutely loved watching these two at work-
felt like I was watching priceless memories in the making!

RAGNAR 2013- Wasatch Back

So...I ran a RAGNAR, and I'm pretty proud of myself.
Especially considering I decided to do it a week and a half before the race,
and I acquired a 'bonus' leg when one of our team came down with the flu the first morning.

In the end I ran 19.6 miles,
slept 3 hours,
traveled 198 mi,
averaged 10-11 minute miles,
got seriously loopy and giggly from sleep deprivation with a van full of women,
ate countless Morning Glory muffins,
drank my weight in water,
smelled...we'll go with 'crazy stinky',
ate an acre of dust,
killed and got killed,
ran while the sun set and a full moon rose,
saw some of the most gorgeous scenery ever,
and overall had an absolute BLAST!

I will definitely be doing another one,
and who knows,
I may even train next time!

Sweet Little Tate

I'm so excited to show off this little sweetheart that I was able to photograph just a few weeks ago!
What a wonderful baby, putting up with all that comes with a newborn shoot
(i.e. wrap, move, re-wrap), with only minor protest.

Not to mention those cheeks, adorable feet, and that fabulously unruly hair-
I just can't get enough!

Soon to be Momma

My sister is expecting her second baby- a sweet little boy-
and having one myself, I can't help but be crazy excited for her.

Last night, as the sun set, we jumped at the opportunity for a spontaneous maternity shoot.
And good grief, this is one gorgeous, bump-rockin' lady!
