The Anniversary Box

My wonderful parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary last month, 

and, as their five children are spread across the country, we came up with an exciting plan 

to help them celebrate, even if we couldn't all be together.

An anniversary party...in a box.

We filled it with letters, sparklers, a set of pillowcases reading 'C'est L'amour',

ringpops, memories from the grandchildren,

a cake for two, and a myriad of other gifts.

Ryan & I were the lucky ones making the special delivery, so we got to watch 

their delighted faces as helium balloons flew up and around them upon opening- 

priceless!!

Thanks to my siblings for being so on top of getting their bits and pieces to me in time- 

I LOVE being part of such a creative family!

Over the Rainbow

Our sweet girl turned six this year, and I it seems all the planets aligned to bring as much family 

as possible to our area for the celebration.  

A pretty big deal considering the fact that summer jobs usually take us far away from family and friends.

So, naturally, these circumstances required the throwing of a serious party.

With a serious jell-o relay.

And a substantial cake with serious spread of rainbow deliciousness!

To wrap up our tale of the Missouri zoo, here are pics from the reptile house (shudder), 

as well as a few wrestling brother bears, a dusty elephant, and Ryan wrangling a 'gator. 

Grammy Biscuits

While visiting our family in Missouri a few months ago, Reese happily donned an apron to become 

her grammy's right hand in the kitchen.  

Absolutely loved watching these two at work-

felt like I was watching priceless memories in the making!
